I am an Honorary Research Fellow at University College London, Division of Psychiatry, and a scientific consultant for the EU-funded Horizon 2020 Medit-Ageing Project. My research investigates the impact of meditation training on mental health and the intersection of contemplative practice and psychedelic use. Alongside my academic work, I am training as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in Germany.

I have studied psychology at the University of Groningen (Netherlands), McGill University (Canada), and University College London. I have received my PhD in psychology from the University of Geneva (Switzerland) with a thesis on the effects of meditation training on psychological well-being. I gratefully acknowledge support from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).
